Italy is always a good idea. I had been to Italy twice before, and have always had an amazing time. This time, however, was special because I got to spend ten days on an island. Sardinia is an Italian island on the Mediterranean. It has a slight tropical vibe, which is an interesting cross with the Italian culture there. My family and I took a flight from Milan to Olbia, which is a beautiful coastal city in Sardinia, and where we stayed for the majority of our vacation. Once there, I was eager to go to the beaches, as just the day before I was in Zermatt skiing. We rented a car and drove to one of the many beaches in Costa Smeralda. My favorite thing to do here, was to take a boat out to visit the La Maddalena islands. Boating is a popular activity hear, as the water gets extremely beautiful deeper in the sea. Besides the beach, the food was definitely awesome. The selection of Italian seafood was endless. I definitely plan on returning in the near future.
